We're the leading medical testing lab in Turkey. We have 2 main branches located in Istanbul and Ankara. In Istanbul branch, starting from year 2000, we're using Interbase (now Firebird). The lab can study about 2000 tests. After converting the old records from our older database to Firebird, we have about 2.5 million numeric test results for 850000 different patients. We're also keeping the financial records for the customers.

There are 113 tables, 90 procedures in the database. There are 20 active users. The database size is 1GB.

It's a dual processor , P600, UW2 SCSI , redhat linux system.

I'm located in Ankara, but I can do the administration of the database whenever it's needed.

In our Ankara branch, we're still using Cobol, but soon, we're planning to switch to the same system that the Istanbul branch is using. We converted the older records to Firebird, and the database size is nearly 2GB now.

In Ankara branch we're using a report-writing database system used for X-ray, ultrasound, respiration, cardiovascular and many similar tests. The size is about 400mb.

Apart from these, our web site depends on Firebird on it's interactive parts. I'm sorry but the English version of the web site is in a terrible shape.

I can say that, for every database need in our lab, we use Firebird without any doubt.
