Windows ISQL interface enhancements.

The WISQL was the GUI client that ran on Windows for IB4 and IB5. It could be executed directly or through Server Manager. The IB4 versions of both tools were very inflexible, so Borland decided to spice up WISQL:
  • Made WISQL window resizable.
  • View and Extract options were put under the Metadata menu.
  • The Query menu allowed to execute or to move backward in forward in the history list of commands entered by the user.
  • ROLE information display was added.
  • It seemed appropriate to allow to extract metadata script and load those script not only with the non-very used DDL extension, but with the typical SQL extension, too.

Overall, the two programs remained almost the same than in IB4 for the casual user. It's not a surprise that Borland pushed the Windows version with better GUI and offered the latest IB version on Windows as well, since it was the primary expertise of the company.
